Ontario Welcomes 1,451 Immigrants in the First OINP Draw of 2024

The first Ontario Immigrant Nomination Program (OINP) for 2024 took place on January 9, 2024, issuing a total of 1,451 invitations to apply for permanent residence (PR) through the OINP Foreign Worker stream. The draw was made in two rounds:
- 630 invitations were issued to profiles that had a job offer in any of the 63 skilled trade jobs listed by OINP and a score of 33 or higher.
- 821 invitations were issued to profiles with job offers in any of the 41 healthcare and 15 technology jobs listed by OINP and a score of 40 or higher.
The draw shows a continued focus on attracting skilled workers to Ontario in key sectors such as health care, technology and skilled trades. If you receive an invitation in this draw, you have until February 7, 2024, to submit your complete application.
