British Columbia on a regular basis invites skill immigrants to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent resident visa through BC PNP draws. Through these regularly held provincial draws, the province of British Columbia invites highest scoring candidates in each category under British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).

What are the categories under BC PNP?

British Columbia PNP provides an immigration pathway to a broad range of workers, graduates and entrepreneurs who want to settle in the province as permanent residents. BC PNP draws invites candidates who have registered under BC PNP’s following categories:

• Skills Immigration – Skilled Worker
• Skills Immigration – International Graduate
• Skills Immigration – Entre Level and Semi-Skilled
• Express Entry BC – Skilled Worker
• Express Entry BC International Graduate
• Entrepreneur Immigration

Healthcare Professional and International Post-Graduate candidates who have applied under Skills Immigration and Express entry BC do not need an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for provincial nomination.

The frequency of ITAs issued through BC PNP draw is based on the annual allocation of nomination given to the BC PNP by Immigration, Refugee & Citizenship Canada (IRCC). These nominations depend on various programs and economic factors, historic BC PNP nomination trends and existing application inventor levels. For the year the previous year 2019, the annual allocation given to BC PNP was 6,500.

British Columbia also introduced Tech Pilot Draws that are extended to the year 2024 that targets 29 specific tech-related occupations. For this candidate has to have valid job-offers in key technology occupations. In case the candidate’s occupation is not listed in the key technology occupations, a candidate can still be eligible.

BC PNP tech pilot job requirements are:

• The job offer must be of one of the 29 targeted occupations
• Job-offer must be of a minimum of one-year duration and the offer must be valid for a minimum 120 days at the time of application

What are the minimum points required to get a Guaranteed BC PNP nomination in 2024?

If the candidate is able to score the below-mentioned points or exceeds them, then they are guaranteed to get an ITA in next BC PNP draw under their category. ITAs can be issued to the candidate with lower points also. These guaranteed invitations scores are subject to change.
