472 Skilled Immigrants and Express Entry entrants invited by BC in the largest draw of 2018
Good News for candidates waiting to apply for Canada PR visa, British Columbia encourages 472 Express Entry and skilled immigrant applicants to apply under Provincial Nomination Program sub-category by issuing invitation to apply in the new invitation round held on 17<supth October, 2018. This created a record of most number of invitations issued this year in a single invitation round.
British Columbia issued invitations to candidates from a skilled worker and International Graduate streams. The skilled worker Express Entry stream is associated with the federal government’s Express Entry system, which manages the pool of entrants for Canada’s three main economic immigration categories — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
Provincial Nomination Program awards an additional 600 points towards Comprehensive Ranking System which guarantees less processing time and sure shot visa. Nominations for permanent residence issued to candidates in Skills Immigration categories are processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada outside of the Express Entry system. Applicants applying for immigration under the BC PNP need a full-time job offer from an employer in the province.
