1st January 2015 the Launch of Express Entry Program, the turning point in the history of Canada PR came as a revelation for competent and skilled professionals outside Canada. They initially created a much hue and cry over the changes but gradually after viewing the streamlined PR process of Canada for deserving candidates, they took it a positive amendment.

Express Entry works on two-point calculators, initially the Federal Skilled Worker Point calculator and then the Express Entry CRS point calculator. Professionals working under 347 eligible occupations meeting the basic eligibility criteria can submit their profile in the Express Entry pool. Then the pool is ranked under the Comprehensive Ranking System through which IRCC, Canada announces a cut off every 15 days. The highest ranked candidate meeting the cut off will be issued an invitation to apply which would indeed ensure 80% of visa confirmation for genuine cases. The rest 20% depends on the legality of the documents, required proof of funds, Medical, and Police Clearance.
NOTE: After ITA all the documents need to be submitted within 60 days.
To be eligible to apply under Express Entry Program as a Federal Skilled Worker, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Have one-year of continuous full-time paid work experience in one of 347 eligible occupations listed under NOC
- The work experience must be classified O, A, B NOC
- Score sufficient points FSW point calculator
- Have the required language score
- Have enough proof of funds
- Needs to clear PCC and Medical check up
