British Columbia invited 81 tech workers in new PNP draw

British Columbia (BCPNP) invites immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on January 26th 2021. In this draw total number of invitations 81 through the express entry (EEBC) and skilled immigration streams.

The British Columbia Express entry stream is for applicants with a legal profile in the federal government express entry system.

The skills immigration streams is for skilled and semi skilled worker whose occupations are in high demand in the BC Province.

Applicants were invited the under the skilled worker, and international graduate subcategories through the BC PNP Tech Pilot. Invited Candidates need to have a job offer in  a qualified tech occupation to get the designation. The base required score for all candidates who got the invitation in this draw was 80 in all categories.

British Columbia holds draws through two Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) categories and streams each week.

To apply for the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC categories applicants should initially make a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Candidates are assessed and given a score dependent on variables, for example, level of schooling, work experience, language ability and location of employment.

In this draw if a candidate is approved, they would then be able to utilize their provincial nomination to apply for permanent residence with immigration, refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC) through the Express entry system.

Express Entry Candidates who get a invitation from British Columbia will be given an extra 600 points toward their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. These additional points will must increase the CRS score adequately to ensure an ITA in a resulting draw.

The BC PNP is one of Canada’s PNPs. Through these programs, province can nominate newcomers who can settle into the local l work market.
