4,200 ITAs issued in the second-largest Express entry draw

In its 163rd Express entry draw, Canada invited a total of 4,200 express entry candidates for Canada PR Visa with the CRS score cut-off set at 472 points, which is the biggest drop in the minimum CRS score required since all-program draws resumed in July.

Factors that can affect the cutoff CRS score include the size of the draw (larger draws may produce a lower minimum CRS score) and the time between draws (shorter periods between draws may help reduce the CRS score).

With today’s round of invitations, the total number of ITAs issued this year has come to 74,150 ITAs, setting a new record for this date.

IRCC used their tie-break rule in the latest express entry draw. The timestamp used was March 9, 2020, at 13:03:40 UTC. This means the candidates with the CRS score of 472 points or above and have entered the express entry pool before the used time-stamp were invitations in this express entry draw.
