Great News for all aspiring applicants, IRCC, Canada announces its latest CRS draw of 466 as on 12th August 2019 inviting 3,600 express candidates for Canada PR. This is 7 points higher than the previous draw released as on 24th July 2019. Express Entry is the major source of filling in the gap of the labour market. All foreign workers enter the Express Entry Pool wherein they are issued scores towards the Comprehensive Ranking System on the basis of age, education, work experience, Language Ability, Adaptability etc. Highest-ranked applicants are granted invitations to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through regular draws from the pool.
Entering the Express Entry Pool is not a game play, there are certain regulations attached to it. First you need to meet the eligibility requirements for Skilled economic-class immigration categories of Canada—the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. IRCC applied a tie break in the August 12 draw of August 6, 2019, at 12:14:53 UTC. This shows that all entrants with a CRS score of 466 or above, who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA.
3,600 ITAs issued in the latest draw brings the total number of ITA’s issued in the year 2019 since January to 52,600. These extended draw sizes could aid IRCC surpass its single-year ITA record of 89,800 invitations that was set last year. Draws are usually held every two weeks and a lengthened period between draws permits the Express Entry pool more time to restock with higher-scoring candidates.
“Given the longer-than-usual time between draws it is not surprising to see the minimum CRS score increase,” said David Cohen senior partner with the Campbell, Cohen Canadian immigration law firm in Montreal.
