Ever since Express Entry has released the year 2020’s first cutoff, the provinces have pulled up their socks and are now releasing their draws one after another. Saskatchewan one of the most active province in Canada releases its first draw of the year for the two most famous categories Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand issuing 308 invitations for Canada PR through PNP as on 10th January 2020.
Candidates are awarded points out of 100 from SINP’s point assessment grid on the basis of factors such as age, work experience, education, language ability and connections in Saskatchewan. On the basis of the scores secured, candidates with high scores are ranked in the pool and issued invitations through regular draws conducted by the province. applicants from both the categories need minimum score of 69 to be eligible to be invited in the latest SINP selection round.
The best thing to apply under this program is that arranged employment or so called job offer is not at all a mandatory requirement. the only two eligibility requirements mandatory to apply under these programs are that they need to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) with SINP and that they need minimum one year of work experience in an eligible skilled occupation related to their field of study.
Under express Entry stream of SINP 142 invitations has been issued to candidates having profile in the Express Entry pool.
PNP linked express entry sub category is directly linked to the main federal Express Entry system which handles candidates for Canada’s three main immigration programs namely Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. When applicants from the Express Entry pool fill Expression of Interest for Saskatchewan along with scoring 69 points in the SINP Points Grid are absolutely eligible for invitations. Provincial Nomination invitation would directly or indirectly add up 600 points to the Comprehensive Ranking System scores efficiently ensuring a visa in the coming draw for Canada PR.
Under Occupations in Demand stream of SINP 166 invitations has been issued to candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile but have minimum score of 69 in the SINP points assessment grid.
SINP has an Excluded Occupations List instead of an in-demand occupations which has been introduced by the province to allow more and more skilled people to fill gaps in the changing demands of the province’s labour market. 166 invitations were divided into 82 occupations like managers in agriculture, administrative officers, and electronic service technicians for household and business equipment etc.
